Construction of a new Centre for Applied Research at Max Wien Platz, Jena, Germany
A new Centre for Applied Research is currently under construction at the University of Jena in order to further ongoing applied interdisciplinary research.
The fields of applied solid state physics, applied optics, biophotonics and combinatorial materials research will be brought together under one roof in order to optimise synergies.
The following will exist within the new 2,130m² facility:
- Class 4 laser laboratories
- Synthesis laboratories
- Chemical laboratories
- Measurement laboratories (NMR, mass spectrometry)
- Biosafety level 2 biology laboratories
- Biosafety level 1 genetic engineering laboratories
AJZ Engineering is providing the following planning services:
- Laboratory technology including gases, vacuum and deionised water
- Refrigeration systems and cold storage cells
- General equipment
- Specialist equipment
